Project #38 Sarah

  Sarah is a simple customizable high- waisted skirt knitted top-down & in-the-round.  The fold-over waist band starts from ~2” above navel & is secured by elastic.  Then the skirt is knitted to the fullest part of the hips with ~2” negative ease, & knitted to the desired length straight down.  It is finished with 1x1 ribbing for a bit of tapering.  Helpful tutorials: Knitting Help - Provisional Cast-On Using a Crochet Hook How to Remove Provisional Cast On in One Piece Elastic Waistband on Knit Pants Three-Needle Join for Knitting Please check end of pattern for errata updates if any. Hana is knitted top-down, in-the-round, with contiguous set-in-sleeves, & finished with 1x1 ribbings.  Sample garment is fitted with no ease from body measurements, cropped, & falls to low waist.  Sleeves fall a few inches above elbow. Sample garment is in size Small.   Designer is pear body-shaped, & petite (5’4”).      Difficulty Level : Intermediate/Advanced. Sizes : Small ( 32” B, 26” W, 36” H ), Medium ( 34” B, 28” W, 38” H ), Large ( 36” B, 30” W, 40” H ). Sample garment (S) weighs 365 g with yarns trimmed & weaved in.   Weight does not include gauge swatches. Instructions for Suzanne is for size Small only .  It is knitted top-down, flat, with contiguous set-in-sleeves, four vertical button holes, & 1x1 ribbings.  The vertical edgings & collar is later added on with the collar knitted bottom-up. The garment is fitted with 1” positive ease from my chest measurements & no ease from my waist & upper hip measurements to give a bit more shaping.  Body measurements were taken with what I planned to wear underneath (my last project).  Difficulty level : Intermediate/Advanced. Sample size : Small, to fit 32” chest, 26” waist, & 31” upper hip. The finished project weighed about 635 g (with loose yarns clipped,...
